The Plumstead GOP, is organised as a PAC in accordance with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Federal laws and also operates as the Plumstead GOP Club. Whilst the Club is independent of any political party, organisation and candidate, it works to get Republican candidates elected at the local, county, state and national levels. We believe that the country is best served by elected leaders who believe in limited government and strength through prosperity for all. Club Leadership provide organizational direction, but it is the members, volunteers and other participants who make us a success, all with the goal of supporting the best candidates and winning elections. Members must be registered Republicans to fully participate with the Club.
Plumsted Township, in bucolic Bucks County PA, is a combination of residential, farm and light industrial communities. The Plumstead GOP Club provides community support and involvement in each of the Township’s five voting precincts.
Recognizing the importance of equality in our community, each precinct has a Republican Committeewoman and Committeeman who are duly elected by registered Republican Voters in each precinct or in the event of a vacancy, appointed by the Plumstead Republican Committee or County Republican Party organisation. The party and local Republican Committee may also appoint Assistant Committee People as they deem appropriate. Their primary responsibility is to develop relationships with the local people residing in their precinct, welcoming newcomers and sharing vital information about the issues facing all residents. They are also a resource to assist our neighbors facing challenges that require local and county government input and resolution.
Typically, Club Volunteers and Republican Committee people work all year long providing voter registration information and explaining how to apply and submit your absentee or mail-in ballot. We also introduce opportunities for you to meet candidates and participate in the political and democratic processes that make our community, county, state and nation so wonderful. Committee people and other volunteers are the ones you see outside the polls on election day, sharing candidate information, answering your ballot questions and providing assistance where needed. They have insight about each candidate and understand the differences between the recommended candidates and their opposition. In recent years, those differences have become even more prominent.
